Something I didn’t realize about living in true big metro downtown like LA, despite being dense and walkable, its not actually pleasant to walk around in. “Taking walks” has always been a big part of my routine and it’s broken here.

And no driving somewhere or taking transit to take a walk doesn’t do it. That is a special outing, not an element of daily routine.

Is it the noise of cars? Navigating amongst people? Stopping at crosswalks? Air pollution?
Poisoned infinite aimless wandering definitely a thing. Super curious what your reasons are.

It's what I love about where I stay in SG - and I gather much of the city supports this (I moved recently). Where I lived in Bangalore did not.
