Can anyone tell me what the state of the art of the OODA loop is today? Is it still a useful/used model for strategic/ military purposes? Is there an updated or improved replacement model? Maybe @AJBousquet, @DanObergSwe or @Aelkus can point me in the right direction?

Thanks! I have actually read Boyd, Osinga & even your own Tempo over the last years. What I'm trying to find out at present is the fate of the model today, ie whether it has been fully absorbed, reinvented, or if alternatives have superceded it (& made their way into doctrine).

Try the Chet Richards book Certain to Win as a starting point. Then try Boyd’s own briefings and the Coram biography. Then the Osinga book if you really want to nerd out.
