Conversation

.'s threadapalooza was a success through the potent combo of • removing blind spots around areas of expertise • giving people external justification to relax their fears/high standards around posting • giving a firehose of attention to accounts with low follower counts.

The thing I wanted more of was conversational engagement: people looked, liked, and re-tweeted, but there was a lack of 2-way conversation (the comments I got were all "thanks for sharing") Also only my regular followers read my thread's back-half, making it harder to finish.

So maybe next year we could try: • Explicitly incorporating feedback about what people want to hear more of at regular checkpoints • Large follower types agreeing to boost after the initial spike dies down. (In the marathon metaphor this would be like sponsorship)
