I checked again in case I was mistaken. I wasn’t. At least on safari/iPad when you log in a second time, there is no option to skip giving permissions like on first sign up. There is also no non-google authentication. If you back out, auth just fails. Seriously 🤬

Hey @lunchclubai looks like you're emailing my gmail contacts with invites to join without permission. Not okay. I'm revoking access and warning people I recommended this to. The first time I logged in, the contacts-access thing was skippable but the second time it was not.

Update: based on DM conversation, looks like the combination of a bug causing the unskippable contacts permission, combined with how they use LinkedIn to send invites (presumably connections of recent signups) might have made it look like gmail contacts were being spammed.
