As a teen/young adult I actually was compelled to get into pomo because of how my neighbor & some teachers in Florida in the early-mid 00s still talked about it like it was a threat. Maybe that exp. wouldn’t have happened to someone who grew up in a place less behind the times.

haha yeah, I remember all the postmo scare pretty clearly. Wrote some papers on it in high school & college. Then... it just died away 🤷♂️

It didn’t die away. It was unconsciously embraced and operationalized by boomers. There’s nothing more pomo than Trump.
That’s what makes ok boomer funny. To some extent expresses an ok-kids sentiment that would normally go the other way, from 70y olds to 17y olds
