I think I glanced at it when you or someone else flagged it for me before, but it doesn't quite hit the sweet spot for me. The construct of 'quests' and search-based exploration as the core experience aren't quite good fits for how I think.

I think it reproduces a bias I had in my old similar product, trailmeme... it undervalues fragmentary internally generated thoughts, treating them mostly as annotations to external discoveries. This works for hedgehog minds, where all the annotations come from a single headspace.

Do you think a third dimension could help map thoughts? Z axis for level of detail, nuance, overindexing

That's basically the "grouping" dimension in most visual diagramming tools. Group/ungroup actions. A smooth z-axis is the opposite of useful.
