What's the term for when a term acquires an accidental but apt new connotation in translation? Eg: Journeyman refers to day-work not travel (French journée). Brutalism refers to concrete (French brut) not oppression. Something like eggcorn or malapropism but not those.

“Stuurboord” in Dutch refers to the side of the ship where the helm (stuur) is located. “Starboard” must have the same origin but the steering is not so obvious. Still, to me the star suggests some kind of logic perhaps to do with positioning.
