Fancy bourbons, expensive guns... it’s billions of $ of narrative theater that’s as impressive as Acela corridor, or west coast theater. It just pretends to be a few rugged individuals bravely keeping a dying honor culture alive in the face of neoliberal fake ness.

Ummm I’m in Alaska and people here are definitely using very large trucks to haul stuff, build stuff, and transport large numbers of children and dogs. If there was a practical electric on I’m sure it would quickly take over.
