there's something true in here but some kind of range restriction error too. certainly the "useless" people are "relaxing" - of the people you like for other reasons! no way would I ever agree to hang out w "useless" person randomly selected from people at large

I’ve always felt the best relationships allow you feel alone with someone else (I’m an introvert, if anything), which came to mind when reading the point on mutual uselessness. Having fun thinking about this. Is the spell immediately broken by any perceived attempt at leverage?

Our usefulness to each other is embedded in our biology; it's not a "market" function or purely a matter of societal leverage. We are social like ants, bees, dogs, cows or horses. I hope they have an easier time but it doesn't look it.
