My only memorable experience with astrology was to mix-n-match newspaper horoscopes for a week and give people the reading for a different star-sign. The reactions were sometimes hilarious, depending on how familiar the reader was with the material.

They're not telling you the whole truth because in the etc. they could be dabbling is history or economics or psychology. Every rationalist believes certain things that cannot be derived rationally due to lack of information, e.g., history and the writings of historians.

I mean, I've done all the personality tests and buzzfeed-style quizzes, tarot sounds fun too, but astrology/palmistry is bad for brain because too strong a strain of magical thinking because of the combination of extra flimsy causative premises & extra robust cultural scale, imo.

I’ve noticed that when people read your chart they use a vocabulary that is sort of charming and that can help overcome Cultural barriers in communication. Nodding junkies amongst themselves talk similarly. people at cocktail parties also frequently lapse into that vocabulary
