If you're middle class or above, time is almost always an abundant quantity, so long as you're willing to sneak off. What creates the sense of insufficient time is the idea that everything on your to-do list is a must-do. You're not short of time, you're long on commitment.

Time abundance is not like other kinds of abundance, since there is a non-stationary flow and an asymmetry to it. You can't store time the way you can surpluses of other sorts. All you can do is tweak your intentions towards things "filling" time from "must do" to "can ignore"

I was just thinking about your blog post on squeakification (I think that's what you called it) - doing the thing that would be most annoying to forget first, to get it over with, even if that's not the most efficient. Also an opposite to procrastination.
