are you sure? my folk-economic intuition is that QE crowded out investment by boosting asset values, whereas helicopter money would've at least driven investment on a household level.
Of course I’m not sure. We’re talking spherical cow economics here. But I’m pretty cynical about individuals and households. They’re no better than large corps.

I agree both that both in theory helicopter money would have been much better, but in practice it would have been corrupted. What's needed is a complete rebuilding of the power structures of the economy, and uh, good luck with that.
