Oh hey here’s a Python 2.7 end-of-life clock. I didn’t know they’d finally set the date for ending support. Is this for real?
If do, now I’m motivated to finally learn python and quit Matlab brandcuffs. I was put off by the schizophrenic state. pythonclock.org

I’ve looked at it. Is it getting any significant degree of adoption?

I've only used it for personal projects. It was designed for people fleeing matlab, so you sounded like a good candidate.

Fleeing Matlab is one motive. Working in a language that can prototype production code for web apps etc is another. I suspect I could easily hire people to appify python code but not Julia. Still, good reminder to check it out.
