Oh hey here’s a Python 2.7 end-of-life clock. I didn’t know they’d finally set the date for ending support. Is this for real? If do, now I’m motivated to finally learn python and quit Matlab brandcuffs. I was put off by the schizophrenic state. https://pythonclock.org

it's been a while so probably less prevalent but I'd go to write something and need a module and it'd be like "sawwwry, 2.x only" so I switch the code to 2 and then the next module would be like "sawwry need 3.x", so I gave up

it was a bad idea poorly executed and it doesn't help that Python is already an extremely pedantic language to begin with
