Any of you ever given less than 5 stars for Uber/lyft? What was the reason? Do you do it routinely? Ever go below 4? It’s turned into one of the most ceremonial things ever for me.

I’m fine with this. 90% ceremonial incentive feedback beats unaccountable drivers. This is why they’re generally cleaner and nicer than cabs. Uber’s ethics as a company are an orthogonal issue. The mechanism is sounder than no feedback.

Strong disagree. The system is a vast improvement over the cab system, and the company is no worse than corrupt taxi cartels and medallion cronyism. Prices will go up when the VC subsidy goes down, and most of us will be fine paying the market prices.
