Watching/hearing the spacewalk is interesting
They use ambiguous words like up and down a lot, as well as unambiguous ones like aft/fore... doesn’t seem to be any obvious formal convention to it. The intuitive frame appears to be either the body or the object being maneuvered

Some years ago, there was a MacArthur-winning acrobat (!) who invented a terminology with words like "topward" to improve directional and spatial description.
