That seems right. There’s a feeling of “I can’t swallow this” that seems to immediately proceed abandonment

One caveat is if the disagreement is purely political or ideological views, then conscious consumption of other views is healthy to counter echo chamber/filter bubble effect. Quality of argument still matters.
