Is it just me or do others also feel a weird reluctance throwing away interesting bits of packaging? Boxes, tubes, warded molded styrofoam, plastic spacers... I always feel like I should do something with them. Like junky little projects.

What interesting thing can I do with some strong cardboard tubing? Besides mail posters or build a telescope? I have 3 pieces between 2-3 feet each and 3” inner diameter. It was a single large 7 foot tube I broke up to recycle but now I feel like I should do something with them

My giant box full of altoids tins says yes. I did manage to turn eight of them into a mega pill organizer but I'm still a bit stumped on what to do with the other 600. All the "hacks" I find are for things I don't really need...

I have a mild obsession with funky containers and odd tools. About half end up in my kid’s art projects. The look on the teacher's face when he showed up with 87 metric Allen wrenches...

More deeply, I think the mental glitch comes from odd shape + previous utility + current worthlessness. Basically they present in your head as unique specialized tools that you somehow got for free but can’t immediately use, so the instinct is to hoard.
