Several people have shared this kind of feedback. Otoh, for quite many, Tempo is the only thing I've written that they like. I tend to try a new style for every big memeplex I tackle. I oughta put a warning label on stuff, "future styles may not resemble past styles... at all"https://twitter.com/Quesada/status/1183098945028927490 …

I think this is an extension of fox/hedgehog stuff. There are writers who refine a single style throughout a lifetime, across many different projects, and writers who basically try to pivot and reinvent their styles at every opportunity.

Sometime like 2012 or so, I ran an online myers-briggs textual analysis tool on tempo and ribbonfarm material (up to that point). Tempo scored INTJ, ribbonfarm scored INTP. That is bang-on accurate reflection of my headspaces for those 2 corpuses.

I suspect, I'd get different results for ribbonfarm 2013-18, breaking smart, breaking smart newsletter, art of gig, and ribbonfarm 2019+. I think I've logged at least 6 distinct styles so far. Working on ate last 3 more.
