Interesting. Much more theoretical solidarity with HK than I expected. Though I think most people don't have good calibration on just how much the economy runs on low-cost Chinese goods. One estimate I saw years ago said bics would cost $5 rather than $0.10 if made in the US...

Theres still a difference between what people say, & what they ultimately do.
But also our economy already falling apart from underneath, so probably less incentive to avoid move that might cause economic upheaval, especially if low-cost goods might be part of cause themselves.
