We don’t talk enough about billionaires as a class, with anthropological patterns and stuff. Though they get tons of attention, almost all of it is either valorizing or demonizing individual attention, or vague commentary about a strawman top-hatted archetype.

I didnt say or mean anything about you(?) but a sgnfcnt swath of the US psyche certainly sees them as bogeymen, fretting abt wealth gaps & influence à la citizens united while living most privileged lifestyles in world history. & where did I say the phenomenon shldnt be studied?

That’s part of the phenomenology to bracket and study then, without pre-judging whether or not it is justified. Your statement there is itself a good one to scrutinize
