Simplest characterization of multitemporality I’ve come up with yet: the temporal equivalent of designating a direction as “up” on a space station.
Weightlessness is like atemporality. Gravity [~= time] still exists as a physical phenomenon but does not induce privileged “up”.

The term microgravity is preferable to weightlessness since there is still a tiny local gravity. So some choices of “up” are somewhat more privileged. By analogy, atemporality —> microtemporality. Some directions of arrow of time (cone around future —> past) are more privileged.
