Goals can lead to tunnel vision, but can tunnel vision lead to goals? As in attention focused on just one tightly scoped area, but with no active creative production intentions, like being a monomaniacal fan of something and neglecting/filtering all else? Anyone have examples?

Closely linked to phenomenology, yes? Find a stream that you are interested in jumping in and ride the current. Not so much tunnel vision as not resisting the momentum or crossing to get to shore. Too tight steering and you miss faster current stages and higher volume flow.
