Having done it for a couple of months now, I realize why podcasting has exploded: modulo production tech, it's 10x easier for producers, even though it's much unfriendlier content form for consumers.

Except upon listening, audio first drafts don’t sound awful. That’s the inherent power of podcasts: they automatically bypass certain filter mechs.

Sure. That’s why I’m willing to post them as audio. When I start doing transcripts regularly, I’ll set low expectations.

Does this mean that podcasts are objectively worse than essays? It doesn’t feel that way to me (commuter who consumes ~8hrs of podcasts per week)

Wouldn't have to be so much like
@mastersofscale but I think this is why tech like this of@DescriptApp will be quite valuable. I.e. they have a case study of how naval and nivi used it for their super short podcast episodes

I only do one take podcasts... But I embrace hwo ugly and raw it sounds... Great way for me to practice public speaking even when I don't have time to go find a crowd.
