A very clear tell that climate is being used as a convenient weapon to attack power rather than being considered as an actual problem to solve is focusing on computing (datacenters etc) as opposed to obviously bigger things like manufacturing, transportation, and HVAC.

In case it is ambiguous, I don’t mean all climate advocacy is like this. Only the disguised tech backlash part. Most climate advocacy focuses on the legit high impact themes.

Not resentment so much as recognition of where power actually lies these days. (Maybe they’re wrong about where the power is, I tend to think they are [Raytheon is still more powerful than Amazon, etc.], but that’s the analysis.)
