Epstein and Sacklers aren’t fails, strictly speaking, that’s how things are supposed to work and the admissions scandal is nothing. Trump genuinely came out of left field and though they’ve managed to make hay of it, they tried and failed to keep him out.

By definition, elite cultures cannot fail. Whatever the culture may be will be normalized until it becomes popular culture. So these are not examples of "fail" but of sampling the tails of elite culture.

Admissions scandal is systemic, a problem with essence of the culture in the way the others are not. Epstein, Sackler are eternal criminality. GOP is closer, but it represents a smaller fraction of society, and principles that are not quite as essential. 1/
