Berlin Alexanderplatz reads to me in a similar way. The intercutting of the actual plot narrative with ads and newspaper copy is particularly effective there.

In fact, Brunner’s Stand on Zanzibar uses the same device and also has a distinctly Weimar-ish feel to it. He was eerily prescient about quite a few things (his “muckers” as edgelord stochastic terrorists, extremely online, corporate algorithmic surveillance, etc.).
