I’d define it as “a constructed culture of human time experience within constraints of physics”
tldr: one kind of temporality came alive around 1883 and was killed ~1984, and we have neither resurrected it, nor successfully constructed a substitute. Result: Great Weirding.
So monotemporality's key element is the 9 to 5 work schedule? What about the dispersion of mechanical watches in earlier times?
