Just met Mike Zyda yesterday, a key figure in 90s VR research. He argues in this article that the current VR generation has 90s amnesia. http://mikezyda.com/resources/Presence-Vol-25-No-2.pdf …

I think of the 90s as the moments our machines started to stop helping us overcome the constraints of our machines

With some notable exceptions I hated 90s music, making alternative mainstream. After its popular inception it went formula rlly fast. Imo is why in 2Ks we saw popular genres fracture into sub-genres & subgenres of those subgenres & it seems to only just now be slowing.

Also the 90's were peaceful and prosperous. From the fall of Berlin Wall, up to 9/11, is how i measure the 90's in terms of major events.

As a musician and child of the late 80s and early 90s, the 90s were extremely memorable in terms of MTV and pop culture. Grunge became a phenomenon, as did G-funk. Late 90s US radio output turned weak though, and Britpop and Cool Britannia took over.

I don’t know if I agree. I kinda enjoyed the ‘70’s - at least the parts I remember.

I'm sure you did, but the 80s were the best
