I just finished Franny and Zooey, on your recommendation, and it was amazing. Interestingly, I can definitely see the origins of some of your ideas there.
Any tips for what to follow it up with?

Huh? you're confusing me with someone else. I've never heard of that.

Ah, this is embarrassing...
Abrupt change of tack, then 😅: I highly recommend it to you! In particular there was a section echoing the idea that quantity begets quality, which I swear I read on Ribbonfarm (unless this cake is also a lie...)

Yeah I cite that often. In fact I'm writing a piece right now citing it. I think that's a multi-source idea. It has 2 aspects, the "quantity has a quality all its own" (usually attributed to Stalin), and the learning-by-massive-iteration aspect (the parable of 100 pots)
I’ve heard of the parable of the cracked pot but parable of the 100 pots?

I think it's the old chestnut about the pottery class where half of the students were graded on quantity, half on quality. Turns out the quantity half (~100 pots) ended up making better pots!
