What makes a subject or information source easy to overindex on?
I suspect it is being at the edge of legibility. A satisfying basic epistemic structure with infinitely deep margins of nerd-out value.

Consider: Teachers are known as "good" due to their ability to aestheticize (long[er]) chunks of knowledge, thus increasing their attention pull.
Be it with oratory skills, satisfying physical drills, theatrics. Perhaps the reason why are pop-educators so beloved?
