Learning from people disagreeing with you is overrated. Most of my learning from others actually comes from them thinking thoughts I wouldn’t be likely to think at all. And most tend to neither confirm or disconfirm anything I already think, but expand the scope of thoughts.

My recent personal experience on this has been after learning retrospectively I realize that the learnt was something I kinda didn't completely agree with before.
So the most learnt was probably always there and I disagreed with it and something showed it in a diff light.

Obviously. But everyone also has big blindspots that create cognitive dissonance, in those cases we don't even know we disagree. When those dropout or flip, lots of stuff gets moved around in the re-build. For some of us it is a life goal.
