My recent personal experience on this has been after learning retrospectively I realize that the learnt was something I kinda didn't completely agree with before. So the most learnt was probably always there and I disagreed with it and something showed it in a diff light.

Obviously. But everyone also has big blindspots that create cognitive dissonance, in those cases we don't even know we disagree. When those dropout or flip, lots of stuff gets moved around in the re-build. For some of us it is a life goal.
