Should the Streisand Effect now have a Bedbug Corollary?
“Any attempt by a bluecheck to exact vengeance for mild embarrassment that relies on private intimidation will result in greater public embarrassment” or something. It’s not quite right. Needs a more careful statement.

Seems slightly related since it’s not suppression that’s being attempted but retaliation
I think it reduces to the Streisand effect. Retaliation could be a subset of suppression, since presumably the goal is to teach a lesson/prevent future deviations from the power structure the bedbug is trying to enforce.

But I really like bedbug as a noun to describe whoever is attempting to do the suppressing.
