I like them as a participant - makes it possible to really get into a topic. Finding the time to listen to all of them though....

I'm not sure how I feel. The quality is hugely dependent on the host, which is why I'm wary of going on them. Depending on how deft they are at herding my thinking out loud, I can look like anything from a moronic asshole to a genius. So I think I have to feel a good trust vibe.

I’ve heard that perhaps more people are able to handle complex ideas and narratives in audio form than with reading. Add in found time (when you can listen), and the scale of it... longform podcasts may be raising the average quality of ideas in everyone’s heads a lot
