“Cancelled” as an euphemism for modern social death reminds me of “delete” and “upgrade compulsary” language of the cyber men in doctor who.
If you get canceled you sink below the api and are only accessible via an anonymizing app. You have to drive Uber or something.

Also reminded of Stepford Wives, cult conversions, etc. It’s a theme. Human social death followed by robotic resurrection and 100% docile resocialization.

In Futurama movie, beast with a billion backs the hive mind/Borg idea is interestingly sexualized. Usually the opposite happens.

I suppose the modern cancellation model is only half complete. There’s no re-education phase into either a woke robot or a patriot robot. Both sides just let software eat you.

How come we don’t use the word canceled to describe what happened to Colin Kaepernick?

Though playing pro football probably means you’re already under a very high paid API. There’s even a helmet and mask like cybermen. I guess his crime was more trying to uncancel/undelete himself a bit.

Hmm. A lot of people are born cancelled.
Cancellation/deletion = reduction to finite game player. kinda nailed this idea. Still trying to think of a response to this, since it’s my turn to continue this blogchain. ribbonfarm.com/2019/06/18/wor
