In my Seattle gym there were 3 power racks and often all in use but dumbbell area generally open. In LA it’s the reverse. Lots of people doing dumbells, but 2 power racks usually open. The LA people all have sculpted upper bodies too.

They bury the benefits in increased risk of injury. A variety of movements is good, yes. Agreed! But heavy explosive lifts for speed, combined with a franchised instructor model... ouch.

Agreed. Olympic lifts to failure without proper recovery = injury.
