Archetype of the year: People defined by hatred for those who fail to overcome/escape tough situations they did. “There, but for the grace of I, go I” (as opposed to grace of god). It’s one of the easiest archetypes to tag and verify. Dunno what to name it. Angry Escapee?

Hatred seems to be a mix of inverted love and resentment at embodying the possibility that their escape was more luck than they care to admit The opposite of love+hatred is apathy which they yearn for but can’t get to. Apathy is natural to those who haven’t faced that challenge

If I ever escaped a tough situation I’d probably do the guilt thing, not the anger thing. I tend to attribute most good things that happen to me to luck. Bad things to my own incompetence (which I easily forgive myself for)
