I think I just hit some sort of length record in my email-notes-to-clients writing. Almost 5k words, which is like my median for ribbonfarm writing pre 2018. Maybe I need to start blogchain-like notes for my consulting clients too.

I’m *very* wary of subjecting clients to any medium beyond email. It just won’t get read/processed. I only reluctantly escalate to spreadsheets and slides when forced to. Some clients like working on docs, but it only works if they start the doc and I edit within their frame

This really is true. My mental model of clients is a consumer of the medium I use with them. So half sparring partner, half reader-of-email. Like Igoe finger-eye being in UX. Boxing gloves and inbox is how we appear to each other.
