In other news I’m now a seriously short-term thinker. Time horizons comfort range from 1h to 1 week. <4h and >1 week =stress. Last time I had a 1y horizon was 2014. Last time I had a 2y+ horizon was 2009. 1Q-horizon consulting clients now seem like wise long-range thinkers

feels like these three charts, side-by-side, would be an interesting way to visualize the history of someone’s work life: > change in length of time horizon over time > striving, surviving, suffering, slacking > exploration, play, muddling through, project

It’s fine, it just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s not horizon charts for the sake of horizon charts that are interesting. I generally need a chart I make to capture some non-trivial insight about the phenomenon, or theory about horizons.
