What’s the latest on coconut oil? Good or bad?

The latest is that popular dietary advice is still bad.
(My provisional guess is that coconut oil is better than more saturated oils and probably better than most polyunsaturated oils, but not as good as fish oil. And it's concentrated fat, inferior to a whole food.)

I'd say it's ambiguous enough that eat it if you like the taste, otherwise don't. I love it.

Since you asked for opinions, bad. Chock full of saturated fat, and afaict saturated fat should be minimized. (That said, I avoid all oils, so I may be too craaaaaaazy for you.)
