“Atemporality” covers the transition out of capitalism proper pretty well (~1974 - 2016). I’m trying to make “multitemprality” happen for 2016 onwards. Industrial Standard Time —> Anomic Standard Time —> Weirding Standard Time. @nils_gilman

No consensus terms that I’ve found. Most common is something like “industrial time” loosely gesturing at patterns of life organized around 9-5 schedules and global synchronization of economy and infrastructure. Not sure I buy the premise that tenure buys you much of an exit pass.

Institutions like tenure are locked to industrial time culture at different bedrock levels below individual. There are... hidden things you give up in every Deal with the Dev... I mean Clock.
