2.5 weeks into LA life: big city life is just generally more exhausting. Even though you live like a rat crawling through a tiny fraction of the cityscape, everyday routines simply take up more of your brain. Wonder if this limits how big monolithic metros can get.
Yes. I’ve experienced different levels of steady state from small towns to huge metros. Learning curve levels off in about 6 months if you’re not super exploratory, and then there’s a steady state diff that’s a function of city size.
