Life seems to have gotten significantly more complicated in the last 15 years in general, after controlling for personal changes like aging/life-stage. Other things being equal, there’s just a lot more detail and choices to manage Anyone disagree?

Relates also to last week’s econtalk on “tradition” constraining choices in a good way. I think the free-est scenario is all the overwhelming detail being available and then choosing our constrainers, like wealth managers or life coaches, or Marie kondo.
