People keep telling me to look them up “when you’re in New York next”, which basically never happens. I rarely have a reason to go to New York. Just 1 small paid gig and 1 unpaid speaking gig in 10 years. I wonder why, and whether it’s worth trying to change it

NY people keep asking for it but never step up to actually organize one

What's involved to organize one? Mostly corraling a space for 50-100 people for 2 days? Might volunteer to get one done in the fall

Fall is probably too early since we just had one. 2020 spring/summer likely the earliest it would work. A good deal more is involved as well

Are you looking for a hands-off franchise type model? Or just help planning and operating the local logistics? I can't do spring/summer 2020 but if no one steps up before then sign me for helping organize a fall 2020 one!

I’ll pull together a zoom call in fall for interested parties to discuss the future of the event. It’s overdue for a reinvention

Nothing a consultant loves more than reinventing things over zoom calls
