All radicals should be encouraged to form institutions. Much moral high-ground posturing and insufferable certitude are rooted in not yet having reproduced pre-ideological institutional pathologies that are the root cause of most things they critique on ideological grounds.

A great trick is operating at two resolutions where you institutionalize into a pristine order at say 75 dpi, but exhibit organic chaos at 300dpi, with 150dpi as transitional resolution. I know only a couple of institutions that pull off this magic trick. Essence of leveling up.

It’s an institution getting into its own OODA loop at a structural level. Like single-called organisms evolving to multicellular and supracellulat resolution being much more orderly than subcellular. I’ve been trying to figure out the playbook for this for years.

Taking these as states, not permanent roles, it makes sense to me that ES is always falling off the wagon into another one. But I think it’s unstable only in the sense that being awake is unstable. It’s a high-energy state, so you “sleep” & recover in another state, then return.

Great thread, but not sure I understand the reasoning behind the last one?

Why should the ES individual necessarily be unstable? I interpret the thread as claiming that the instability comes from a false assessment of average human nature. Why can’t the ES person simply go their own way once they’ve been disillusioned about human nature?
