Not playing because you think you can see how it ends is the most basic kind of not playing
Conversation
If you think you can see how it ends, it’s almost your duty to mess it up so you can’t anymore
It’s like the point of being alive
If you just want to be a dead vote in favor of predictable outcomes you’re more like a brick than a human. Possibly a very pretty brick though

Live humans are mathematicians at heart, even if they lack the technical skills. They lose interest once they see a solution exists. Dead ones find a ghost of the solace in answers that live ones find in questions. Life is only interesting while you’re unsure a solution exists.

Yes, and Trump himself. I'll give them credit for that, even though I don't like the particular kind of mess they decided to make. They know the alternative is social death, and possibly real death too, with or without opioid help.

So, a very pragmatic cross of tikkun olam and "do not immanentize the eschaton", then:
Heal the world by preventing the entropic heat-death of humanity.
Would sign up.

If you must play a game, you cannot play a game. Dead players win games using push strategies not based on actual demand.
Live players pursue pull strategies towards infinite games
