I think that variable is dwarfed by who you do it with.

If non-social, more fun to get a good buzz with 4-5 drinks for me. But 1/month seems depressingly high for that kind of activity.

Don't binge, it's very bad for your liver. Stick to 3 or fewer on the rare occasions you do drink. Both frequency and intensity are harmful.

Harm reduction proponents favor the latter. A guy on here was a bottle/2 a day vodka guy does 1 bottle every 1/2 weeks and updates Twitter. He runs A harm reduction spot in Jersey? Interesting character.
