Astounding how complex the potential solutions to a deceptively simple-seeming problem are. I don't have the tools needed to try any of these things, and most seem almost not worth the trouble. Reversing the 2nd Law is always a bitch. 😬

Repair mavens: I have this tightly stuck screw with a stripped philips head holding a ceiling fan blade to ritir. It’s slightly under rotor rim so screwdriver can only get at it at a slight angle off vertical. How do I get it off? A rubber band hack from YouTube didn’t work.

Have you tried removing the arm the blade is screwed to from the rotor? This would allow to get optimal geometry and pressure with your screwdriver to remove the problem screw. The arm should be held on with 2 screws/bolts from above directly into the rotor hub.
