Many conceptual errors result from assuming that the truth is systematically aligned with either power or lack of power. Even the weaker assumption that it is a predictable function of present power distributions is usually a mistake.

About the only defensible idea in this general neighborhood is that present power gives you a slight head start in establishing a condition of adaptive fitness for future conditions, which might have a slightly better than random chance of being correlated with knowing new truths

A lot of bad ideas on all sides seem to stem from misreading an ephemeral, accidental power arrangement as as a permanent, ordained one.
