someone on reddit just asked if you can make hummus from chickpea flour, and now i'm wondering why the heck not. anyone tried this?

I think it’s because it’s dry before it’s ground into flour maybe? All things made from the flour get a doughy consistency. You have to make it an actual liquid I think (kadhi). Hummus uses the fresh soaked beans.

huh, interesting point. not sure chickpeas work the same way, but stuff made with the flour is indeed "doughy"
